Chokling Tersar
Chokling Tersar, The New Tërmas from Chogyur Lingpar
In Tibetan Buddhism, the Chokling Tersar is a collection of previously unknown teachings of Guru Rinpoche known as Spiritual Treasures - Tërma in Tibetan, revealed by Chogyur Lingpa, the Tërton or Revealer of Treasures. These noble and precious teachings were revealed with the help of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and Jamgon Kongtrul.
Chokling Tersar literally means the "The New Treasures from Chogyur Lingpa", the great Tibetan master who revealed these treasures in the nineteenth century. He lived from 1829 to 1870, and in his own time was considered one of the major Tërtons of Tibetan history by the great masters of the day. His teachings were even adopted by the Karmapa and consequently, are widely practiced by both the Kagyu and the Nyingma schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
